Giving away an Oscar based on the amount of profanity has never been an issue, at least from what I remember in the last few years.
Inla's got it right about the American sector. And I'll add that it's not so much in the theater that the standards becomes an issue. It's when they get that movie home that ears get covered and the FFW button gets worn done more than PAUSE. |

| I'm encouraged by this conversation, for the simple reason that when Ferdy On Films restarts under its new aegis of The Beachwood Reporter, I'll be doing a film-by-film study of Scorsese's career. |
