Of all the online firms with which I have done business, none comes close to the class and professionalism of Netflix. Not only do they do the job they offer with unparalleled expertise, but when you get them on the phone--and yes, believe it or not, they answer the phone with a real person, not voice mail hell--they are unfailingly polite and even charming. It's an oasis in the desert of today's telephone manners.
I haven't had to contact them yet, but that's good to hear. |

I don't care to see him in any other venue or real life but there are been times when an actor is so uncannily gorgeous that you know you'll see him again. Examples: Antonio Banderas in Philadelphia, Brad Pitt in A River Runs Through It.
For me, it was Jude Law in a still photo some years ago. I haven't seen Twilight, and got somewhat turned off of Pattinson when he admitted in an interview that he hadn't washed his hair for six weeks. Ick.
Eddie Cibrian as the masseur in Living Out Loud - it was a brief role (and maybe it was the role), I don't remember if he had more than five words, and I've never seen him since, but that's who Michaelangelo should have had as a model. |

I saw Antonio Banderas in "The Mambo Kings" (a screening for our film class) and it was obvious that he was going to be hot, hot, hot. It wasn't just his incredible good looks--he had the smoking charisma as well. Some actors are gorgeous but just don't give off that sexy vibe. (Maybe it's a subjective thing, because Brad Pitt just doesn't do it for me.) |

Wow, how retro is that? It is such a pleasure when you find a business that puts customer service high up on its priorities. |

And it's true! I've spoken with them and they couldn't have been nicer. And no long messages either!
Lorne--no matter what your local reviewer said, if ever there were a movie that I know you'd love it would be Doubt! |

So it seems that the women on here, plus a couple of males with an alternate lifestyle, who are drawn to movies with actors that they find hot. I can't thing of any hetero males on here who have had the same reaction towards actresses. I guess women objectify men more than the other way around. Haven't they been paying attention to the Feminists? |

Wade, I have a little girl pic in the works. And two cute kiddies will certainly give Gary a run for the money.
Though I gotta admit, his pic is really adorable. |

Not quite, dude - we didn't see the movies because these people were in them - they popped up in the middle of movies we were already watching.

What movie is he in where he's packing extra poundage? He's pretty svelte in the Borne movies. |

Why don't you do a quick count, and see how many women comment on how some actor is hot or gorgeous or sexy etc. and how many times the men on here comment about an actresses looks. Actually the ones I remember are usually extolling the looks of actresses I find unattractive and skinny, plus being mediorce in their profession. Jolie, Kidman, Knightley (decent actress but no bombshell). Maybe women just have better taste in hottie actors than men have in actresses.
Where are the Ava Gardners, Janet Leighs, Joan Colllnses, Jean Simmons', Claire Blooms, Kim Novaks, Marilyn Monroes, Hedy Lamars, Vivian Leighs? Women. Not skinny girls.
I concede, there are more hot actors (men) than there are hot actresses (women). |
