Not Troma.

Think '80s, booze, cocaine, naked starlets licking stripper poles...

I was kidding about Troma. Their spending habits make Corman look like that guy with the $6000 umbrella stand.

Was it Orion?

Not Orion.

We're talking a defunct studio -- my instinct tells me they went down in a cutthroat fashion.

Methinks Cutthroat is a clue. Was it that stinker, Cutthroat Island that sealed its fate? A, Ha! I cheated and think I know what you're looking for. Shocked

Yes, sir. SIR! I do believe you're on to something there.

Go ahead and tell the answer because I've gotta scoot for the day.

And go look in TV -- I solved the "subject line" mystery.

Sorry my trivia question was such a bomb.

The answer is Carolco.

The "starlet licks the stripper pole" movie is, of course, Showgirls. The actor who received a used Gulfstream was Ahnuld, to star in T2. Cutthroat Island was the last straw for this debauched studio, although founding studio heads Mario Kassar and Andy Vajna recently reunited to form C2 Pictures, which produced ... old habits die hard ... T3. T4 is in development, sans Ahnuld, and they're suing the shit out of Sharon Stone for backing out of her Basic Instinct 2 contract.

Floor's open.

I guess I'll jump in: What film won the Palme d'Or at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival, and what American administration did it help to bring down?

"What American administration did it help to bring down?"

Please, let's not jump the gun. There's nothing I want more in this world than for Dubya to be fired--preferably in the most humiliating fashion imaginable--but let's not, for heaven's sake, get cocky. There's many a slip...

The floor's still open.

Well, here's Bush-related question.

The U.S. military has banned several films from being shown to troops. There is one of particular relevance to our current situation that is on this banned list. What is it?
