Just to be as irritatingly presumptuous as I was on Current Film, unless I've heard any major objections, am pretty sure we've elected to overlook the posted deadlines and, presuming all volunteer tabulators are up for it, let people who haven't yet nominated go ahead and post their choices in all categories. Only because (a) this year's awards are already sorta freeform, and (b) currently, it sorta looks like a grand slam for a very few nominees. If folks are all right with that, it's certainly in keeping with the Voting Directives? We Don't Need No Stinkin' Voting Directives nature of the Blanches, but it would be nice to hear from the Marcs and Mirguns and Marjs and lshaps and Jeremys, ad infintum (I could have easily missed some noms on Current Film.) It just seems, when last year's crop was fodder for some really fascinating discourse, the more noms we have, the likelier a truly Blancheian spread. Why, SASSY doesn't know who to throw their considerable promotional weight behind, without appearing hopelessly favortism-bound, being an egalitarian organization, after all. Okay, ramble done, presumptuously so. |

We should have this finished just in time for next year's Blanches. |

I need more people to vote for Best Picture to break this six-way tie for second place. |

Day to day chats about current films and worthy DVD releases, as well as issues of the day -- these are why I stop by the Third Eye. I don't care about Blanches, but if someone presents some kind of final ballot I'd be glad to fill it out with a number two pencil, or even a la Gregory Rush, with some good old "number two." I think you need to "strike when the iron is hot" or "carpe the diem" or what have you, because after a time, the films of the current year loom larger in the mind than those of the past year. |

Agree with inla. Disagree with bartist. Mother of mercy, is this the end of Blanche? |
