Dempsey looks a lot different, while still being recognizable. His docs did a pretty good job. I think he's had an eyelift and a nosejob. Maybe cheek and jaw implants. Now he looks like his own big brother. |

Wrong forum (kinda), but same show, Dr. McSteamy looks exactly like he could be Leonardo DiCaprio's humpy older brother!
Whatever type of surgery Dempsey's had done, it looks great to me. |

Smoke Signals is about an unlikely pair of Cour D'Laine Indians who journey to Arizona to collect the cremated remains of the father of one of them.
Ignorant as I am of our indigenous peoples, everything about this film was new to me - from the accents, to their interactions between themselves and others, to the other world that is their beautiful but bleak reservation. And a wonderful road story. On the bus, more or less in protest of some abuse they receive, they sing a ditty about John Wayne's teeth that had me rolling. |

I finally saw Irreversible (only took 4 years!) Excellent film - although absolutely horrifying(realistic) in places. Belucci and Cassel's(partners in life) love scenes were some of the best I've seen in film - beautiful, intimate, natural - of course it helps that they are both so attractive (conventionally and unconventionally). But really, Europeans are just so so much better at filming these scenes than us. The film reminds me of Memento - with the reverse narrative - (and it worked so well). The initial scene is confusing, scary, twisty (that on a big screen could give a person motion sickness) - perfect for the setting, like a voyeuristic virtual reality ride. Just one SPOILER Comment
Right after the rape, when the rapist is sort of recovering, laying down after he finishes - am I the only person who was screaming at "Alex" to get up and run - I mean I understand - she's hurt in shock etc - but I was couldn't stop myself from screaming run for god sakes run !!! Which is silly because you know how it turns out - right at the beginning - but still I couldn't stop myself
I'm planning to rent this. I have a mad crush on Vincent Cassel and have liked him in everything I've seen him in. Unusual looks, very talented, and equally good in either French or English.
I can't remember the title of one of my favorite films with him. He plays an ex-con living in an office building who becomes involved with a young female excutive. Hitchcockian plot. |

Found the Vincent Cassel movie and recommend it!
It's called "Read My Lips" and also stars Emmanuelle Devos who is a very hot actress in France at the moment. She also has unusual looks.
She plays a deaf, rather mousy office worker in the film, not an executive.
P.S. I don't know that anyone else would agree, but a Vincent Cassel Forum could be terrific. |

Why would I be disapproving. Love making scenes are like everthing else, there are good ones and there are bad ones and everything in between. Speaking of which, I find a great deal of the porno movies completely un-arousing and in many cases a turn off. I've come to the conclusion that they are geared to an audience of immature sexual deviants and fetishists. But that doesn't stop me from searching for the good stuff and there is some good stuff. I'm getting to know what directors to look for. |

Sounds like you are watching the entire movie. Try only 5 mins at a time. |

I watched United 93 last night. An excellent depiction of what might have occurred that day - very realistic, no hollywood cliched moments (thank god) . But one of those films, I admire greatly - but don't wish to watch again - while its well acted directed etc It has no entertainment value - which is fine - I'm glad I saw it - but I don't need to see it again |

The control tower scenes in United 93 were eerily realistic. |

That's the point, chills, I like a nice build up. Most of them start right off with full bore hard core. That's for the deviates. If it's just wham bam thank you ma'am, where's the involvement. An the interminable close-up of genitalia, feh!
Should I move this over to Crotch With A View? |

I get what you are saying. Then what you need are the higher class films. With actresses like Jenna Jameson and ones where there is a build up to the story (well, not too long of a build-up). |

re: porn.
I was at Mondo Video yesterday when Marc's new shipment of XXX-rated DVD's arrived. I couldn't believe anyone would rent this stuff - it appeared laughably bad. |
